Initial Treatment & Consultation
Before each grooming session, we like to discuss with you what services we will provide for your dog and answer any questions you may have. If you are a first time customer, please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment to register and let us get acquainted with you and your dog. Your dog’s comfort and enjoyment is very important to us as well as addressing all of your questions and concerns.
Bath & Dry
Treat your pet to a soothing wash using the very best nutrient-rich shampoos and conditioners which add a healthy shine and softness your dog’s coat. We use specific shampoos and conditioners for different coat types as well as hypoallergenic and soothing formulas. If you have any concerns about your dog’s skin or coat, we can help find just the right shampoo and conditioner for your dog’s needs. After bathing, your dog will be fully dry. Because of the potential for injury, our salon does not use heat driers.
Clipping & Hand Scissoring
To encourage a new, healthier coat or achieve an easily maintainable coat for your dog, our stylist will assist you in determining just the right style and cut to fit both the look you want and your lifestyle.
Our stylists are trained in hand scissoring, a skill that requires practice and a well trained eye. We have found this is the key to professional pet styling. Expert knowledge of coat types combined with scissoring allows the stylist to add balance, grace and style to your pet.
Ears, Eyes & Nails
We will gently clean around your dog’s eyes removing any hair that may cause irritation, and we also clean your dog’s ears using specially formulated products that are safe. Gentleness and care will be taken to remove hair from the ear canal if necessary. Nail trimming and filing services are provided to ensure comfort and joint health for your dog.
De-matting
De-matting (if necessary) will be done by hand using grooming tools and conditioning sprays. However, if some coats are badly matted, they may need shaving. These services will require an additional charge determined by the amount of time for the process. Your dog’s comfort and safety are our number one priority and if your dog is too badly matted we may need to discuss the most humane and gentle options for your dog.
Tooth brushing
Tooth brushing is a very important part of every dogs grooming regimen. Your dog’s dental health play a large role in the overall wellness of your dog. Specially formulated dog tooth paste with a great flavor dog’s love will be used to keeps your dog healthy and their breath smelling great.
Anal Gland Expressing
We do offer this service at your request. This procedure is not done on every dog as not every dog requires this service. If your dog is not having any issues, we do not recommend this procedure to be performed as it can create problems where they do not exist. We may refer you to your veterinarian in some cases.
Puppy Sessions/Play days
Puppies should have a grooming experience from a young age, even if it is for a simple brush and nail trim. We offer all puppies to come in for a free nail trim and consultation on how to best care for your puppy’s coat and proper grooming care through the life of your dog. We also provide puppy play days to allow your puppy to get used to all of the noises and activities in our salon. This will ensure future visits will be a fun and exciting experience.
